Introduction to Endoscopic Surgery, Tumescent Liposuction, Laser Assisted Surgery and Non-Surgical Procedures
Dr. Magassy has been at the forefront of changing technology throughout his years of practice. Our Surgical Center reflects his commitment to providing all of the latest and best techniques and equipment for the safety and satisfaction of his patients.
New additions to the Surgical Center include the Endoscope and two different types of lasers.
The Endoscope is a very versatile machine and allows the doctor to operate more precisely and with much smaller incisions, which translates into quicker recuperation and a high degree of patient satisfaction. The carbon dioxide laser smoothes and resurfaces the skin, removing wrinkles and restoring a far more youthful look. The KTP laser can be used in the same way as a surgical scalpel and also removes age spots and spider veins.
New techniques utilized by Dr. Magassy
include Tumescent Liposuction and a variety of facial rejuvenation procedures, such as endoscopically assisted forehead mid-face and neck lifts. We also offer a wide variety of non-surgical options, including BOTOX® injections, Collagen® Dermalogen®, Sclerotherapy, the Obagi Blue Peel®, and an array of excellent skin health care programs.
With all of these options available, it may be difficult
to choose the procedures or treatments to help you look
your best. That’s why Dr. Magassy
and his staff present
monthly seminars featuring before-and-after photos of
all the procedures he performs. Attendees are encouraged
to bring all of their questions and to ask them in this
friendly, relaxed atmosphere. We also feature a presentation
of the many non-surgical solutions available to our
patients. The seminars are always free and conveniently
located in Maryland and Virginia. Call the office for

Osmogen: A Patch of Oranges
Now that vitamins C and E have been shown to promote healthy skin, does the quest for a youthful look have us rubbing oranges all over our faces? Not exactly. But new dermal patches are providing the antioxidant and UV protection of vitamins C and E directly to the areas of skin you care about most.
You are probably already familiar with dermal patches for nicotine, heart medications, or hormone supplements. We now have similar patches to deliver key vitamins to the skin.
Vitamins such as C and E are part of the body’s natural defense system against skin damage caused by harmful molecules called free radicals. Free radicals are oxygen molecules created in part by overexposure to sun, pollution, stress, and improper diet.
As your body ages, it is less able to keep up with the dietary vitamin requirements necessary to neutralize free radicals. Dermal patches can apply vitamins directly to problem areas of your skin—particularly around the eyes and mouth—in concentrations 20 to 40 times higher than diet alone. And now, there is a new vitamin patch that contains both vitamin C and E.
Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that also promotes the production of collagen. Vitamin E, another antioxidant, enhances the skin’s absorption ability. This vitamin combination increases the patch’s effectiveness because it allows the vitamins to penetrate deeper into the skin. And because patches remain in place for up to 10 hours, as opposed to creams that begin evaporating the moment they are applied, your skin can absorb vitamins all night while you sleep.
